Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. This position requires a proactive individual who is knowledgeable in dental procedures and possesses strong communication skills to ensure a positive experience for our patients. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and ensure proper imaging techniques are utilized. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage the sterilization of instruments and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office. Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft or Epic for record management and medical coding. Support prosthodontic procedures by assisting with 3D scanning and other advanced technologies. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry. Familiarity with medical terminology, imaging, and coding practices. Experience with dental software applications, particularly OpenDental. Strong understanding of prosthodontics and the ability to operate 3D scanners effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
