Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews, to ensure safe treatment plans. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies tailored to their needs. Take digital dental radiographs while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Review medical records and documentation to ensure accurate recordkeeping in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, providing chairside assistance with dental terminology knowledge and professionalism. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Dentrix.
