Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental procedures, patient assessment, and infection control protocols, with experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix. The Registered Dental Hygienist will play a vital role in promoting oral health and ensuring positive patient experiences in a fast-paced dental clinic setting. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and calculus buildup Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories in compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options Assist with chairside procedures such as medical imaging, fluoride treatments, and sealants Review and document patient records accurately within EMR systems like Eaglesoft and Dentrix Ensure infection control standards are maintained through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization of instruments Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures and address any concerns or questions effectively Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to deliver comprehensive general dentistry services Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and documentation review for accurate recordkeeping Experience Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification Proven experience in a dental office or clinic setting, preferably with pediatric dentistry exposure Proficiency in using Dentrix, EMR systems, and medical imaging equipment Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices, four-handed dentistry techniques, and infection control protocols Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance Experience with dental assisting tasks such as chairside assisting is advantageous but not mandatory Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to oral health and the ability to perform patient assessments effectively This position offers an opportunity to work within a professional environment dedicated to delivering high-quality dental care while fostering ongoing professional development.
