Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, managing patient care, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing advanced dental technology and fostering patient trust through compassionate care. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic is preferred, along with a solid understanding of HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dental services across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures including restorations, extractions, and root canals with four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to proper aseptic techniques and radiation safety standards Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; ensure accuracy in medical documentation and records Take vital signs and medical history to assist in comprehensive patient assessments Educate patients on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive practices Maintain infection control standards by following OSHA guidelines and sterilization protocols Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating medical coding, and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed Operate advanced dental technology including 3D scanners for diagnostics and treatment planning Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting Proficiency with EMR systems (Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic) and familiarity with medical imaging software Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety standards Strong understanding of pediatric dentistry principles and procedures involving pediatrics patients Experience with chairside assisting across general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties preferred Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate with team members Certification in radiography or X-ray licensing required (if applicable) Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This position is integral to delivering exceptional patient care through technical expertise and compassionate service.
