Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining optimal oral health for patients of all ages. This role requires a strong knowledge of dental procedures, infection control protocols, and patient assessment techniques. The Registered Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to ensure efficient clinic operations and uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical history Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies Assist with chairside procedures, including providing support during general dentistry treatments Take and develop medical imaging as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Follow infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures and address any concerns or questions Collaborate with dentists to develop personalized treatment plans for pediatric and adult patients Stay current with dental terminology, medical coding, and documentation review to ensure compliance and accuracy Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist Proven experience in dental office settings, including pediatric dentistry preferred Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar EMR platforms Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and medical records management Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to all age groups, especially pediatrics Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with vital signs measurement, medical imaging techniques, and documentation review processes Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical coding, and healthcare compliance standards Effective communication skills to educate patients about oral health and treatment options Join our team to make a positive impact on patients' oral health while working in a supportive, professional environment committed to excellence in dental care.
