Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dental Hygienist to join our private dental practice part time with growth opportunities . The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, dental terminology, and infection control, with proficiency in EMR systems and dental software such as Eaglesoft and CT imaging. Candidates should have experience in general dentistry and chairside assisting, along with a solid understanding of medical imaging, vital signs, and HIPAA compliance. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and vital signs to ensure safety during procedures Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans to promote long-term oral health Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures and adapt techniques for pediatric patients Take and develop medical images such as X-rays using aseptic techniques while maintaining infection control standards Document patient information accurately in EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, including medical records and treatment notes Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Support the dental team with chairside assisting during various procedures in general dentistry and specialized treatments Maintain a sterile environment following infection control protocols and dental office policies Stay current with dental terminology, medical coding, and documentation review practices to ensure accurate recordkeeping Experience Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification 1+ yr Prior hygiene experience. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft is highly desirable Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques is essential Job Type: Part-time Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week Work Location: In person
