Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Fort Worth, TX

Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence. Experience with Epic preferred. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment focused on general dentistry and specialized fields like pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. The position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical documentation, and imaging techniques, including X-ray and 3D scanning. **This role might require some travel between the offices as needed. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures including GP treatment Prepare treatment rooms with sterile instruments and materials following aseptic techniques Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) and operate 3D scanners for accurate diagnostics Record vital signs and medical history to ensure patient safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations Manage medical records and documentation using Epic Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions Perform chairside assisting with proficiency in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge Maintain infection control standards and ensure all clinical areas are clean and organized Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow when needed Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and data security Qualifications Valid license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent certification Proven experience in general dentistry; experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus Proficiency with Epic Knowledge of dental assisting procedures such as four-handed dentistry, vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and infection control protocols Familiarity with dental terminology, medical coding, and medical documentation standards Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely following radiation safety guidelines Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to dental procedures and infection prevention techniques Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This position is integral to delivering high-quality dental care while fostering a welcoming environment for patients.
