Dental Assistant- Bilingual - Out of This World Dentistry and Orthodontics - West Jordan, UT

We are looking for a fun and energetic dental assistant who speaks Spanish to join our practice 4 days a week. We want you to have experience working with General and Pediatric Dentists and should be well-organized with great attention to detail. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and are able to make office procedures run as smooth as possible for our patients. Pay is based on experience and is negotiable. Responsibilities Welcome patients in the dental office Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Schedule appointments Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures Skills Proven experience as dental assistant Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Experience in assisting in root canals and oral surgery Ability to fabricate dental temporaries Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus Fabricate dental temporaries with very little direction Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred but not required Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA) Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discount Health insurance Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Required) Language: SPANISH (Required) Ability to Commute: West Jordan, UT 84084 (Required) Ability to Relocate: West Jordan, UT 84084: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
