Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Duties: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring efficient and smooth operations - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, making sure they are clean and well-stocked with necessary supplies - Take and develop dental x-rays using digital imaging systems - Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models, trimming plaster casts, and fabricating custom impression trays - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, and retracting tissues - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions - Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Eaglesoft - Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and updating medical histories - Assist with pediatric dental procedures, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for young patients Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program preferred - Current certification in dental assisting (CDA) or radiography (RDA) is a plus - Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures - Proficiency in taking accurate dental x-rays - Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic or Eaglesoft - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment We offer competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.
