We are looking for a motivated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our amazing team! Our team-oriented office will encourage you to excel and promote good oral health practices! The Dental Hygienist performs professional dental care in the field of dental hygiene including all related clinical procedures. Has broad responsibilities for clinical and community dental health education activities. The Dental Hygienist approaches his/her tasks in a team-based care fashion that supports patients and their families in self-management, self-efficacy, and behavior change. This part-time position is flexible and will be for one or two days per week. Responsibilities Conduct oral assessments and check oral health history Identify/diagnose periodontal conditions Sterilize dental instruments Provide dental education to patients of all ages Give post-op instructions to patients after dental procedures Take X-rays or dental impressions Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer) Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Monitor supplies Skills Proven experience as Dental Hygienist Proficiency with Open Dental or other practice management software In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Outstanding communication skills A friendly personality Attention to detail Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Current and unrestricted license to practice Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $40.00 - $70.00 per hour Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week Benefits: Flexible schedule Paid time off Tuition reimbursement Work Location: In person
