Orthodontic Assistant - Central Park Orthodontics - New York, NY

We are looking for another orthodontic assistant to join our private practice orthodontic office on the Upper West Side (in Manhattan). Our office is conveniently located next to the B/C train and bus stops at 86th St. The position is on average 4 days and 28-35 hours per week (no weekends). Usual hours are 9 or 9:30am-close (2 days are until 5pm and 2 days are until 6pm). Applicants should be dependable, hard-working, and friendly with patients and their parents. Our ideal candidate has at least 2 years experience working as an orthodontic assistant and can perform the following: Take Pan/Ceph radiographs, intra- and extra- oral photographs. Scan patients with an Itero Element scanner. Prepare patients for bonding brackets. Tie and untie ligature ties. Place and remove wires. Review instructions with patients. Take good alginate impressions. Pour and trim stone models. Make Essix retainers.
