Job Summary Come and work in a dental office with a positive atmosphere! We are seeking a dedicated, dependable and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our boutique dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires proficiency and previous experience in dental terminology, infection control practices, and familiarity with dental software systems. A passion for patient care and a commitment to maintaining a sterile and organized environment are essential. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Record vital signs and maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix, Open Dental or Eaglesoft systems. Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Manage appointment scheduling, including follow-ups for endodontic treatments. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering as necessary. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the practice. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required. Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Familiarity with 3D scanners is a plus. Knowledge of medical coding practices is advantageous. Strong understanding of infection control procedures. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
