Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and perform insurance verification to facilitate smooth check-in and billing processes Schedule appointments efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft, ensuring optimal clinic flow Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries promptly and accurately Prepare and update patient records, review documentation for accuracy, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for health information management Assist dentists during procedures by preparing instruments, taking digital radiographs, and maintaining sterilization protocols Handle medical billing and coding tasks including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding to ensure accurate claims processing Perform administrative duties such as filing medical records, managing medical office supplies, and supporting office management activities to maintain an organized clinic environment Experience Proven experience in a dental office or medical clinic setting with strong familiarity in dental terminology and clinical procedures Demonstrated proficiency in EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms such as Meditech or Epic Knowledge of medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), insurance verification, and Medicare processes Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations; bilingual abilities are a plus Strong clerical skills including typing (10 key), data entry, filing, and use of Microsoft Office applications for documentation review and administrative support Prior experience working with health information management systems such as eClinicalWorks or Athenahealth is highly desirable Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment Join us to make a difference in patientsâ lives by providing top-tier dental care combined with exceptional administrative support.
