Responsibilities Assist dentist during a variety of dental procedures for general dentistry, ensuring all tools and materials are prepared and sterilized according to infection control protocols. Manage patient intake by taking vital signs, medical history, and updating medical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft. Operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines to capture accurate diagnostic images while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Provide chairside assistance with aseptic technique, dental terminology, and anatomy knowledge to support efficient treatment delivery. Support infection control practices by maintaining sterile environments, handling medical records securely, and following all OSHA standards. Coordinate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments, confirm patient information, and manage medical coding for billing purposes. Assist with administrative tasks such as maintaining medical records, processing insurance claims through Epic or other systems, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards. Qualifications Must have at least 2 years of DENTAL ASSISTING along with proof of certifications. Proficiency in Eaglesoft is essential for managing patient records effectively. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy is required to support accurate documentation and communication. Familiarity with X-ray procedures, and infection control protocols is necessary for safe practice.
