Dental Assistant II - Serene Smiles Dentistry - Cary, NC

3-4 days per week/27-32 hours per week Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment - Take and develop dental x-rays - Perform dental charting and medical documentation - Assist with dental lab tasks, including pouring models and trimming plaster casts - Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Maintain infection control protocols and ensure aseptic technique is followed - Manage patient records using Dentrix software Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience - Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology - Proficiency in medical imaging, coding, and documentation - Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental software systems - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
