Job Overview Our beautiful private dental office is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure infection control protocols are followed, and support the delivery of comprehensive dental care. This role offers the opportunity to work in a well-equipped clinic specializing in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry, utilizing advanced dental technology and EMR systems. The position requires a dedicated professional committed to patient comfort and clinical excellence. Duties Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques are maintained Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging. Record vital signs and medical history information accurately in electronic health records systems. Manage patient flow efficiently by coordinating appointments and updating medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Maintain infection control standards through proper sterilization of instruments and adherence to aseptic techniques Support administrative tasks such as dental reception duties when needed, including scheduling and patient check-in/out processes Assist with medical documentation, coding procedures for insurance claims, and ensuring accurate record keeping Qualifications Valid certification as a Dental Assistant with experience in general dentistry; experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus Proficiency with EMR system Dentrix, is preferred Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental care Experience with chairside assisting, including four-handed dentistry techniques Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely and effectively; experience with 3D scanners is advantageous Strong understanding of dental specialties such as endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatrics Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and team members Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment while ensuring patient comfort and safety This position offers an engaging work environment where your skills directly contribute to improving patients' oral health.
