This role involves assisting the dentist in various procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment, and supporting the overall efficiency of the dental office. *Responsibilities* - Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including endodontics and general dentistry. - Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols. - Maintain an organized and efficient work area to ensure smooth operations. - Take patient medical histories and update records using dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. - Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. - Manage patient flow and schedule appointments effectively, particularly for pediatric dentistry cases. - Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control standards throughout the practice. - Support the dental team in various administrative tasks as needed. *Requirements* - Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with knowledge of pediatric dentistry being a plus. - Familiarity with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. - Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control practices. - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. - Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. - Certification in dental assisting or equivalent training is preferred but not mandatory. - A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of dentistry.
