Job Summary We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented dental assistant, who is able to provide quality care to our patients. Duties Assist the Dentist in dental procedures Sterilize and organize dental tools to OSHA regulations standards Take digital dental X-rays Review and process patient accounts for billing purposes, ensuring all charges are accurately recorded. Utilize medical coding systems, including ICD-9 and ICD-10, to assign proper codes for diagnoses and procedures. Manage medical collections by following up on outstanding accounts and resolving discrepancies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and coding standards to ensure compliance with regulations. Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation for accurate billing. Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, ensuring timely processing. Maintain organized medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Experience Previous experience in a dental office is mandatory. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
