Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Tampa, FL
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during treatments. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to promote oral health and educate patients on proper hygiene practices. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth. Take and record vital signs to assess patient health prior to procedures. Assist in four-handed dentistry by supporting the dentist during various procedures. Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in Dentrix or similar dental software. Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits. Conduct assessments for pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable experience for younger patients. Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture necessary diagnostic images as required. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow within the dental office. Qualifications Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations. Experience in general dentistry practices is preferred; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus. Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental management software is desirable. Knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures is an asset. Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach towards patient care. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
