Position Summary The Dental Hygienist provides high-quality preventative care, patient education, and clinical support. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a gentle, empathetic approach to patient care. The ideal candidate is adaptable, thorough, and committed to delivering a five-star experience at every visit. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform routine dental hygiene procedures, including prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and polishing. Take high-quality digital radiographs and intraoral images. Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide (if licensed/certified in Florida). Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Conduct periodontal charting, risk assessments, and maintain accurate treatment notes. Collaborate with the dentist to evaluate and document patient treatment plans. Review and update patient medical histories at each visit. Sterilize and maintain instruments and treatment areas following OSHA and CDC standards. Support scheduling efficiency by monitoring recall systems and reinforcing treatment plans. Contribute to a positive, cooperative, and professional team environment. Required Qualifications Current Florida Dental Hygienist license . Minimum of 1 year of clinical hygiene experience (new graduates welcome to apply if motivated). Certification in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide (preferred). Current CPR/BLS certification. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Gentle, patient-centered approach to care. Proficiency with dental software and digital radiography. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced practice. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual: Spanish or Russian. Experience with OpenDental software. Familiarity with digital scanners and modern imaging systems. Work Schedule Monday, Friday, Saturday Part-time initially, transitioning to full-time later in 2026.
