Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Tulsa, OK

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Desk Receptionist/Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. This dual-role position requires a friendly professional capable of managing patient interactions at the front desk while providing essential chairside assistance. The ideal candidate will have experience with customer service, computer proficiency, and attention to detail. We are willing the right candidate for both front office and dental assisting. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage appointment scheduling Verify patient insurance information and update medical records while maintaining HIPAA compliance Assist with chairside procedures including vital signs measurement, X-ray imaging, and medical documentation Support dental procedures through four-handed dentistry techniques and aseptic techniques to ensure infection control Prepare treatment rooms with necessary supplies and ensure proper sterilization protocols are followed Educate patients on dental terminology, treatment plans, and post-procedure care Manage patient check-in/check-out processes and handle billing or payment processing Assist with medical imaging procedures including X-rays and 3D scanning when necessary Maintain accurate records of medical coding, dental records, and documentation Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to medical records management and scheduling Qualifications Prior experience as a dental receptionist or dental assistant in a clinical setting is preferred, but willing to train Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques Experience with medical imaging procedures such as X-ray and 3D scanner operation is advantageous Ability to perform chairside assisting including vital signs measurement and basic medical documentation Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing medical records and coding Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages This position offers a work environment where professionalism, compassion, and technical expertise are valued.
