Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review Assist with chairside procedures such as medical imaging, medical coding, and documentation review Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures Collaborate with dentists during procedures, including pediatric dentistry and general dentistry treatments Monitor patient comfort levels throughout procedures and provide patient care with empathy and professionalism Ensure the clinical environment adheres to all safety standards, including infection control guidelines Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist Proven experience in dental office or clinic settings, including pediatric dentistry preferred Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or other EMR systems Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices Familiarity with infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently and effectively Strong understanding of patient assessment techniques including vital signs and medical imaging interpretation Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration Knowledge of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and data security Ability to work well within a team environment while maintaining high standards of patient care This position is integral to providing comprehensive dental services that promote optimal oral health outcomes for our patients.
