We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, dental procedures, and infection control, with a passion for promoting oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional preventive dental services, supporting patient education, and ensuring compliance with all safety standards. Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct thorough patient assessments by recording vital signs and reviewing medical histories. Assist with dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to radiation safety protocols. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols. Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures. Support the dental team in chairside assisting during general dentistry procedures, ensuring smooth workflow. Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification. Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably within pediatric or general dentistry environments. Proficiency in using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and documentation review processes. Familiarity with infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse age groups, including pediatrics. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
