Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our single dentist practice that is eager to work as a second assistant in our busy practice. This position requires a good understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to assist in various dental procedures. Duties Assist dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take digital X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance during procedures. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Utilize Dentrix software. Conduct 3D scanning for treatment planning as required. Uphold aseptic techniques and infection control measures throughout the clinic. Skills Proficient in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge. Experience with Dentrix is preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation practices. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry concepts and techniques is a plus. Ability to perform medical imaging procedures is helpful. Strong skills in chairside assisting, including managing instruments during procedures. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
