Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and patient-focused Surgical Dental Assistant to support clinical operations and assist with advanced dental procedures, including oral surgery and periodontics. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless surgical workflow, maintaining a sterile and safe clinical environment, and delivering exceptional patient care before, during, and after treatment. As a key member of our clinical team, you will work closely with our providers to support surgical procedures while helping create a calm, professional, and compassionate experience for every patient. Responsibilities Assist the doctors with oral surgery and periodontal procedures Anticipate provider needs to ensure efficient, uninterrupted surgical flow Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and operatories according to infection control protocols Maintain excellent patient care standards before, during, and after surgical procedures Ensure operatories are fully prepared and properly broken-down following procedures Monitor patient comfort and safety during surgery Take x-rays and CBCT scans Provide clear pre-operative and post-operative instructions to patients Maintain accurate clinical notes and documentation in patient charts Ensure strict adherence to OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards Support team members to maintain efficient clinical flow Contribute to a culture of accountability, teamwork, and clinical excellence Qualifications Proven chairside experience in a dental setting Experience assisting in oral surgery and periodontic procedures Experience with IV Sedation preferred (We are committed to developing the right individual in IV sedation and welcome candidates who demonstrate enthusiasm and coachability) Experience with instrument sterilization Skills & Attributes Proactive and growth-oriented mindset Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Professional communication skills and calming chairside manner Strong ability to anticipate clinical needs Team-oriented Benefits: Competitive pay based on experience Monthly bonus 401(k) Health, Dental & Vision insurance Employee discounts Paid time off (PTO) Professional development assistance No weekends Job Type: Full-time Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Paid time off Professional development assistance Application Question(s): Please list 2-3 times you are available for an interview, M-F, 7am-4pm.
