Job Summary SIGN ON BONUS FOR THE DENTAL ASSISTANT AND FRONT DESK We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dental Assistant to join our Periodontal practice, offering a comprehensive role that supports periodontal, implant and oral surgery procedures and help the front desk when necessary. The candidate must be willing to be cross trained. But we are willing to train the candidate as long as the x- ray license is active. The ideal candidate will have a strong ethical standards, punctual, clinical skills, customer service experience/ dental insurance familiarity, familiarity with dental software systems like Open Dental , and a commitment to patient care. This position includes a sign-on bonus of $1,500.00 after completion of probation period.. The Dental Assistant will be responsible for providing chairside assistance, maintaining infection control standards, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Competitive rate for the candidates. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures including oral surgery and periodontic treatments Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials in accordance with aseptic techniques Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort Manage patient records using EMR systems Open Dental while maintaining HIPAA compliance Record vital signs and medical history to support comprehensive patient care Provide patient education on procedures and post-treatment care using appropriate dental terminology Maintain infection control protocols and ensure the clinic adheres to OSHA standards. Must have radiology license, current CRP, Infection control credentials Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments/ other front desk responsibilities and managing medical documentation Assist with CT scan imaging and other clinical duties as needed Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant/ Front Desk or in a similar dental clinic setting Proficiency with dental software systems including Open Dental; experience with EMR systems preferred, willing to train Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control procedures Ability to perform X-ray procedures and operate medical imaging equipment safely Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry Experience with chairside assisting, four-handed dentistry techniques, and aseptic technique Understanding of periodontics dentistry practice is highly desirable Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
