Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with various dental procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and patient comfort across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics procedures. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available for procedures Assist dentists during various treatments including chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques Take and develop X-rays and medical imaging while adhering to proper aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols Record vital signs and medical history, update patient records accurately using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Manage patient flow efficiently by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and updating medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health maintenance Assist with the operation of 3D scanners and other advanced dental technology as needed Maintain infection control standards by following proper sterilization procedures and handling dental instruments appropriately Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as managing medical records and coding procedures for insurance purposes Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred, especially with general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, or endodontics Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and vital signs measurement Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Experience with medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus Ability to work effectively within a team environment while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety This position offers an engaging work environment where clinical skills are valued and ongoing professional development is supported.
