Job description: Dental Assistant â Full-Time Jacksonville, FL Join Our Dental Family! We are a private dental practice in Jacksonville, FL seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team. About the Role The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and patient-focused, with strong clinical skills and excellent chairside manner. You will assist the dentist in delivering high-quality dental care while helping ensure daily operations run efficiently and smoothly. Responsibilities Welcome and prepare patients for dental procedures Assist the dentist using four-handed dentistry Set up and break down operatories Prepare and sterilize instruments according to OSHA and infection control standards Take and record patient information accurately Perform lab tasks as instructed Monitor and restock dental supplies Maintain a clean, organized treatment environment Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Schedule appointments and assist with basic administrative duties as needed Support team members and contribute to a positive office culture Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Dental Assistant Valid Radiography Certification and CPR Certification High school diploma required; dental assisting program preferred Open Dental experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate) Strong knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and sterilization methods Understanding of health and safety regulations Good computer skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Well-organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Team player with a positive, bubbly personality Job Type: Full-time Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: Paid time off Professional development assistance Experience: Dental assisting: 3 years (Required) License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Preferred) EFDA Certification (Preferred) Work Location: In person
