Surgical Dental Assistant – Hands-On Patient Care Why You’ll Love Working With Us: We take time to get to know our patients and provide care that’s personalized and thoughtful. What You’ll Do : Assist primarily in All-on-X (AOX) and full-arch surgeries, as well as wisdom teeth extractions, sinus grafts, biopsies, and related oral surgery procedures Prepare operatories for set-up, decontamination, sterilization, cleaning, restocking, maintaining lab & procedural areas and ensuring equipment is ready for each patient. Provides positive customer service to patients by escorting, communicating, and prepping them for care by doctor. Review history and progress of treatment plans with patients. Administers oxygen & IV sedation as needed, takes blood pressure Takes X-Rays, impressions, pours & prepares study models, coordinates lab cases. Support sterilization and instrument processing while maintaining strict OSHA and infection-control standards Records treatment information on patient’s charts, schedules appointments, and provides follow up and post op direction and instructions to patients. What You Need : Graduate of accredited Surgical Assisting program Two years of Surgical Assisting experience required AOX / full-arch experience highly preferred Experience in assisting with general anesthesia, IV sedation, and oxygen administration Proficient in utilizing CBCT, panoramic, & periapical radiographs, autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, & sterilization techniques.
