Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in El Paso, TX

Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies tailored to their needs. Assist with chairside procedures such as taking dental radiographs (medical imaging) and applying sealants or fluoride treatments. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system Practiceworks, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures to uphold safety standards. Support general dentistry and pediatric dentistry practices by providing specialized care for children and managing pediatric patients with patience and professionalism. Experience Proven experience as a Licensed Dental Hygienist in a busy dental clinic or office environment. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and documentation review processes. Familiarity with EMR system, Practiceworks, is highly preferred. Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization methods. Ability to perform chairside assisting duties efficiently within a four-handed dentistry setup. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively about treatment plans and oral health education.
