This Role in a Nutshell This is not a typical assisting job. This role is a blend of Expanded Duties Dental Assistant + Clinic Coordinator. You will help drive clinic flow, support hygiene, maintain sterilization systems, coordinate lab and testing workflows, and help patients feel confident and prepared for their visits. This is an ideal position for someone who: Takes initiative and loves ownership Enjoys organization and systems Thrives in a fast-moving environment Loves prevention, education, and holistic health Core Responsibilities Hygiene Department Support & Patient Flow Turn over and prepare hygiene rooms efficiently Take blood pressure and update medical histories Help seat patients and keep appointments running on time Answer patient questions and set expectations for visits Assist hygienists and doctor during laser procedures when needed Support accurate charting and documentation Sterilization & Infection Control Run and maintain sterilization systems Ensure OSHA and infection control compliance Maintain sterilization equipment schedules Monitor and restock clinical supplies Perform iTero, Salivary Testing & Lab Coordination iTero scans Administer salivary diagnostic tests Track, record, send, and receive lab tests Monitor lab case timelines and follow up as needed Clinic Operations & Organization Maintain maintenance schedules Oversee clinic cleanliness and organization Assist with ordering and inventory Maintain a spa-like, patient-ready environment Cross-Training & Growth Opportunities Answer phones and assist with scheduling Help manage recall and patient communication Discuss treatment plans and financial information Participate in team meetings and morning huddles Patient Experience & Education Our assistants play a BIG role in education and prevention.
