Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure infection control standards, and support the delivery of high-quality dental care across general and specialized procedures. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), including digital imaging and 3D scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Record vital signs and medical history, update medical records accurately in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Manage patient flow efficiently, including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and updating medical documentation while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions. Support administrative tasks such as managing medical coding, billing documentation, and maintaining organized records within Epic or other electronic health record systems. Assist with general dentistry procedures as well as specialized areas like pediatrics, endodontics, prosthodontics, and anatomy-related tasks. Maintain a clean and sterile environment following infection control standards and aseptic techniques. Collaborate with the dental team using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort. Qualifications Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent licensure. Proven experience working in a dental clinic setting with proficiency in dental assisting duties. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control procedures, dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy is essential. Experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging including 3D scanners, and pediatric dentistry is highly desirable. Ability to perform chairside assisting with proficiency in aseptic technique and vital signs monitoring. Strong understanding of dental procedures across general dentistry specialties including prosthodontics and endodontics. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and team members.
