Come join our FAMILY! Hometown Family Dentistry is looking for an experienced Registered Dental Assistant. The ideal candidate must have a positive attitude, a great personality and the ability to play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This position requires proficiency in assisting with various dental procedures, maintaining patient records, and adhering to safety and hygiene protocols. A minimum of two years dental assisting experience is a must and EFDA is preferred! Our office environment is laid back, fun and like a family. Our core purpose is to provide conservative and friendly care for the entire family. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to HIPAA regulations and clinic protocols. Take dental X-rays as needed, ensuring proper safety measures are followed. Maintain accurate medical documentation for patients, including treatment plans and progress notes. Provide support in general dentistry procedures as well as specialized areas such as endodontics. Manage patient flow within the clinic, ensuring a positive experience for all patients. Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records in the dental systems. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is required. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment is essential. Familiarity with medical documentation practices and HIPAA compliance is required. Proficiency in operating dental systems for scheduling and record management is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is required.
