Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring infection control, and maintaining accurate medical and dental records. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and be comfortable working with advanced dental technology including 3D scanners and digital imaging systems. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is preferred. The position involves supporting general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics procedures. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies while maintaining aseptic techniques Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging in compliance with HIPAA regulations Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; ensure accuracy in medical documentation and coding Monitor vital signs and assist in patient preparation for procedures Operate dental equipment including 3D scanners and digital radiography tools Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort Maintain infection control standards and ensure the sterilization of instruments following OSHA guidelines Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and assisting the front desk as needed Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred Familiarity with dental assisting procedures including X-ray techniques, vital signs measurement, and infection control protocols Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding systems Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is advantageous Background in pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is a plus Certification in dental assisting or related training programs is desirable but not mandatory This role offers an engaging environment where technical expertise meets compassionate patient care.
