Position Overview We are a two-provider family-owned dental office in Virginia Beach, VA seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our clinical team. The Dental Hygienist is responsible for providing preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the dentist in delivering high-quality clinical outcomes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and committed to creating a comfortable and positive patient experience. Key Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing as needed Conduct oral health assessments and document findings accurately Take and develop dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care Review medical histories and monitor vital signs when appropriate Assist with periodontal charting and treatment planning Apply fluoride and sealants as indicated Collaborate with dentists and team members to ensure efficient patient flow Qualifications Registered Dental Hygienist - active license Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program Current CPR/BLS certification Preferred Qualifications 1+ year of clinical hygiene experience Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Open Dental, Dentrix, Eaglesoft) preferred Experience with digital radiography and periodontal therapy Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour Benefits: Health insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person
