Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Naperville, IL

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. Experience with Dentrix is preferred, along with a solid understanding of dental terminology documentation. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment specializing in general dentistry and prosthodontics. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining aseptic technique Take and develop X-rays and medical imaging, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed Record vital signs and patient medical history accurately within Dentrix Manage patient records, medical documentation, and coding in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions Support infection control procedures to maintain a sterile environment Operate 3D scanners and other dental technology tools as needed Assist with administrative tasks including scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist when required Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and various specialties including prosthodontics. Requirements Prior experience in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred Proficiency Dentrix Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology Experience with chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and aseptic procedures Certification in radiography or X-ray technology is desirable Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join our team to contribute to providing outstanding dental care while advancing your professional skills in a supportive environment.
