Dental Restorative Treatment & Scheduling Coordinator wanted! Downtown Edmonds location. M-Th work schedule, office hours 6:30am to 4:00pm; full benefits. If you have strong experience: 1) checking out patients; 2) preparing insurance estimates; 3) presenting estimates and treatment to patients; 4) scheduling dental restorative; and, importantly, if you 5) "get” that the core of this role is to keep the restorative schedule full to goal; then we want to hear from you. Keep doctor's restorative schedule productive Schedule restorative to goal Confirm restorative appointments and fill restorative cancelations Schedule restorative appointments at check-out (hygiene scheduled in back) Follow up on unscheduled treatment Understands ledger totals and can explain same to patients Check-out patients and collect payment Verify insurance and estimate insurance benefits Prepare treatment plans using office software (Dentrix experience a huge plus) Present treatment plans to patients Explain recommended dental treatment to patients to help them understand need for treatment Encourage patients to promptly schedule their treatment Explain financing options such as CareCredit to patients Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills Support front desk operations by managing filing systems, data entry, and maintaining organized medical records Proven experience in a dental or medical office setting with strong knowledge of dental terminology and dental billing practices Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping and documentation review Exceptional patient service skills and effective communication abilities Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive, pro-customer attitude Believe in the value that dentistry can bring to improve oral health and quality of life And, for fun, in your application, tell us your favorite flavor of ice cream!
