Job Overview We are hiring a detail-oriented Dental Assistant to support our clinical team in delivering high-quality patient care. The role involves chairside assistance, patient management, maintaining infection control standards, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Experience with EMR systems like Dentrix, knowledge of HIPAA regulations, and strong documentation skills are preferred. The position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment providing comprehensive care in general dentistry, prosthodontics, and surgery. Responsibilities Assist dentists with restorations, extractions, and endodontic procedures using four-handed dentistry Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms; ensure instruments and supplies are ready Take dental X-rays following radiation safety and aseptic protocols Accurately document vital signs, medical history, and treatment details in Dentrix EMR Manage patient flow, scheduling, and update medical records Maintain infection control standards and ensure HIPAA compliance Operate dental imaging equipment, including 3D scanners Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care Support administrative duties such as medical coding and records management Collaborate with the clinical team to deliver high-quality care in general and prosthodontic dentistry Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting Proficient in Dentrix or similar EMR systems; knowledge of medical documentation and coding preferred Strong understanding of HIPAA, infection control, aseptic techniques, and dental terminology Ability to safely perform dental X-rays while ensuring patient comfort Knowledge of dental anatomy and imaging technology, including 3D scanners Excellent communication skills with patients of all ages Chairside assisting certification preferred; specialty certifications (pediatric dentistry or endodontics) a plus Detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment Flexible and adaptable across general dentistry and specialized procedures Join our team to provide outstanding dental care while advancing your skills within a supportive professional environment.
