Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dental Assistant to join our fun, busy, advanced dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, and prosthodontics. Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. We use a NOMAD device. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Assist hygiene with perio charting and sterilizing rooms as needed. Utilize Itero and Cerec for imaging as needed during dental procedures. Collaborate effectively with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow. Experience The ideal candidate should possess: Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred. Understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices. Experience with dental coding and documentation is beneficial but not required. A background in chairside assisting, X-ray procedures, and vital sign monitoring is essential for success in this role.
