YOUR DAY AS A DENTAL ASSISTANT At Fourth Street Clinic, our Full Time Dental Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting dental care delivery, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for both patients and dentists. You'll be responsible for preparing the treatment room, organizing instruments and materials, and assisting patients as they receive care. Your expertise will shine as you pass instruments and materials during procedures, all while adhering to the highest standards and general dental practice acts. To thrive as a Full Time Dental Assistant at Fourth Street Clinic, you’ll need a fantastic mix of skills and qualifications. A high school diploma or GED is essential, along with a solid grasp of dental terminology, including the numbering of teeth and names of tooth surfaces. CPR/BLS certification is crucial, and if you don’t have your Radiology Certification yet, don’t worry—we’ll provide that upon hire! Excellent verbal communication skills and strong organization abilities will set you up for success as you handle data input, answer phones, and maintain an efficient workflow. You should be prepared for the physical demands of the job, from lifting up to 50 pounds to spending most of the day on your feet. The ability to tolerate visually challenging images is key, as is adherence to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines. Being proficient in Spanish is a big plus, making you an even more valuable asset to our team! Knowledge and skills required for the position are: Required High school diploma or GED. Knowledge of dental terminology, including tooth numbering and surfaces. CPR/BLS certification. Radiology certification (or ability to obtain upon hire). Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks. Proficiency with basic computer applications and electronic health records.
