Registered Dental Hygienist - Fox Valley Dental Center - Appleton, WI

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental team. We are small privately owned practice. We are looking to add a part-time dental hygienist to our team Mondays and/or Thursdays. Our office sees patients M-Th 8am to 5pm. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. You will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene, discussing and explaining to patients treatment needs and conditions and assisting the dental team in various procedures. Requirements Proven experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred. Perform all dental hygiene procedures, including non-surgical periodontal treatment, administration of local anesthetic, nitrous oxide analgesia, sealants, fluoride, impressions, prophylaxis, x-rays, scanning, oral cancer screenings Familiarity with Dentrix and Dexis software systems is highly desirable. Properly document existing restorations, notable areas of possible decay and disease and patient chief concerns. Instruct patients in proper oral hygiene techniques and provides relevant educational information on their oral health. Ability to perform chairside assisting duties effectively while ensuring patient comfort. Maintains instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments. Commitment to infection control standards and safety practices within the clinical environment. Collaborate with admin team to work recare system and help fill openings in schedule. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
