Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, managing patient care, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Proficiency in dentrix, infection control protocols, and a strong understanding of dental terminology are essential to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control standards Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic while adhering to HIPAA regulations for medical documentation and medical records management Monitor vital signs and medical history updates for patients prior to procedures Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices Maintain inventory of dental supplies and sterilize instruments according to infection control guidelines Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as needed Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred Familiarity with dental assisting procedures including X-ray techniques, vital signs measurement, and medical imaging Knowledge of dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for electronic health records management Understanding of HIPAA compliance and medical coding standards for accurate documentation Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus, along with knowledge of dental terminology across various specialties like prosthodontics and endodontics Certification in dental assisting or related training is advantageous but not mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided for qualified candidates interested in expanding their skills in areas such as 3D scanning or advanced imaging techniques Pay: From $23.99 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discount On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Paid sick time Work Location: In person
