Marquette Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our clinical team. We are the only full-service pediatric dental practice in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and provide specialty dental care for children and families throughout the region. This position is posted for an experienced dental assistant , but we recognize that strong candidates may come from different clinical backgrounds. Prior pediatric experience is not required . Responsibilities: Assist the dentist during dental procedures in a pediatric setting Support patient comfort, behavior guidance, and safety Prepare treatment rooms and maintain infection control standards Assist with hygiene and clinical flow as needed Educate patients and parents on oral health and home care Work collaboratively with clinical and business team members to support smooth daily operations Requirements: Previous dental assisting experience required (OJT, CDA, or equivalent experience considered) Pediatric experience not required; training provided Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work efficiently in a structured, fast-paced environment CPR certification preferred Enjoyment working with children and families is required Compensation: Hourly pay range $19.00–$24.50 , based on experience, demonstrated skills, and clinical responsibilities. This position is posted for an experienced dental assistant. Strong candidates with advanced hygiene-assistant experience may be considered at an adjusted starting rate , with a clear pathway for advancement as skills and responsibilities expand.
