Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and support the overall health and well-being of our patients. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and adherence to infection control protocols. Experience with EMR systems and familiarity with pediatric dentistry are highly valued to ensure comprehensive patient management in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth, scaling, and polishing to prevent oral disease Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while maintaining proper aseptic techniques Document treatment notes accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed according to HIPAA regulations and OSHA guidelines Review medical records and documentation for completeness and accuracy Collaborate with dentists and other team members to optimize patient outcomes in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry cases Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile work environment at all times Experience Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice Prior experience working in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred Proficiency in dental terminology, medical coding, and documentation review Familiarity with dental assisting procedures, including chairside assisting and infection control protocols Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus Strong understanding of anatomy, medical imaging techniques, and aseptic techniques for infection prevention This position offers an opportunity to work within a professional team committed to delivering high-quality patient care while fostering your professional growth in dentistry.
