Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and support the overall health and well-being of our patients. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental procedures, patient assessment, and infection control protocols. Experience with EMR systems and dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix is preferred. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with our team to ensure a comfortable and efficient patient experience in a fast-paced clinical environment. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures and provide care tailored to children Take and develop medical imaging as needed for diagnosis Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems Maintain infection control standards using aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures Review medical records to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with HIPAA regulations Support chairside assisting during various dental procedures, including general dentistry treatments Monitor patient comfort levels throughout procedures and address concerns promptly Ensure adherence to dental terminology standards and proper documentation review for billing purposes Experience Previous experience working in a dental office or clinic setting is highly preferred Knowledge of dental assisting, including four-handed dentistry techniques Familiarity with dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or other EMR systems Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus Understanding of dental coding, documentation review, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry Proven ability to perform patient care with compassion and professionalism Knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and infection control protocols is essential This position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment dedicated to providing high-quality dental care.
