Responsibilities: - Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing - Take and develop dental x-rays - Conduct patient screenings and assessments - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations - Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment - Administer local anesthesia as directed by the dentist - Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information in electronic health records systems (Dentrix, Epic, Eaglesoft) - Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized dental office - Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental technology and attend continuing education courses as required Requirements: - Valid state dental hygiene license - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program - Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and treatment options - Proficiency in using dental software systems (Dentrix, Epic, Eaglesoft) - Familiarity with medical coding for dental procedures - Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and interact with patients - Ability to take accurate vital signs and perform patient assessments - Knowledge of CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions is a plus - Commitment to maintaining strict infection control standards Join our team of dedicated professionals who are committed to providing exceptional dental care.
