You will work directly under the supervision of our seasoned dentists and alongside other dental professionals in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. Duties and Responsibilities Assist the dentist in various dental treatments and procedures, such as fillings, root canals, extractions, and crowns. Prepare and maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment. Collect and record patient health histories and treatment information accurately. Provide patient education on oral hygiene, preoperative and postoperative care. Take dental radiographs (x-rays) and intraoral pictures as required. Perform infection control and sterilization procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment. Assist in the management of dental and medical emergencies. Participate in inventory management and ordering dental supplies. Maintain professional demeanor and appearance at all times in the workplace. Engage with patients to provide a comforting and reassuring presence. Collaborate with the dental team to streamline the dental care process and enhance patient satisfaction. Requirements Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program. Certification or ability to become certified as a Dental Assistant (CDA). Valid CPR certification. Proficiency in dental office software and good computer skill, Dentrix and Dentrix Ascend, preferred. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with patients and team members. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask efficiently in a bustling environment. Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures. Flexibility to adapt to unforeseen circumstances and handle stress and pressure with poise. A keen eye for detail and dedication to high-quality workmanship and standards.
