Overview Looking for a full time dental assistant to join our team. We are a busy, but laid back work environment that puts patients and family first. Hours Tuesday - Friday: 7:00am - 4:00pm Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Assist dentists during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques and aseptic methods. Take and develop X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Record vital signs, medical history, and other relevant patient information accurately in Curve Dental Software. Manage patient flow by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards. Provide chairside assistance during procedures involving endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, implant surgery, pediatrics, and general dentistry treatments. Educate patients on oral health care instructions and post-treatment care protocols. Maintain infection control standards by adhering to proper sterilization techniques and aseptic procedures. Support administrative tasks related to medical coding, billing documentation, and medical records management as needed. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting; familiarity with dental clinic operations is highly desirable. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Curve; experience with CBCT imaging and 3D scanners is a plus. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and effectively; certification in radiography preferred. Strong understanding of chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and aseptic methods. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
