The ideal candidate would be dedicated, eager to learn, dependable and kindhearted. We are in need of a skilled surgical Dental Assistant to join our small growing team in our brand new facility. What we're looking for: Dependable, reliable and enthusiastic about dentistry - especially surgery! Four Days per week - Tues-Friday preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Previous surgery assisting experience Your role will include: Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, including surgery. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including instruments and sterilization, ensuring compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control standards. Take dental X-rays, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed. Manage patient records and medical documentation accurately using EMR systems such as Open Dental. Conduct preliminary assessments by taking vital signs and gathering medical history from patients. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when necessary. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow, help ensure a smooth daily flow in the office. Support patient comfort and care throughout their visit.
