Job Summary Hello! My name is Dr. Foutz I am the dentist at Grand Dental Studio. I just had a Dental Hygienist position open up after losing one of my amazing hygienists so they could be closer to home. I am excited to meet and get a new professional in the office to learn from and hopefully conquer plaque and calculus together. Everyone is welcome, from seasoned veterans to new grads. We are big about the following: Team work, we are small office, we have fun, but also lend each other a hand often! Patient education, better to prepare and prevent! Taco Tuesday's and sometimes.....Thursdays... We start late and leave early- 9 am-4 pm We believe you are only as good as your word. We do what we say we are going to do! Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth and removing plaque and tartar using ultrasonic scalers and hand instruments Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations Possibly assist with chairside procedures in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings, ensuring patient comfort and safety Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies to promote lifelong dental health Maintain accurate medical records, document treatment details, and review documentation for completeness in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as updating medical records, managing Patient Management System. (We use Curve) Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials to practice legally Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and HIPAA compliance Familiarity with with Curve is a huge plus! Ability to perform vital signs measurement, medical imaging procedures, and patient assessment effectively Excellent communication skills to educate patients clearly and compassionately about their oral health needs Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
